Using preview version.

Everything is there;however, setting the game path correctly still keeps the bar red and makes it impossible to compile. It may be a secondary effect but it also stops any dmx/smd files from being exported.

Could any of my errors be rooted on read and write access? I recently downgraded from Windows 11 and my read/write permissions were reset. I'll try and update soon.

Setting the engine path works, but setting the game path still shows red. The bar address to gameinfo.txt is correct but the bar is still highlighted red.

The error means that the compiler is looking inside the qc. file at line 308 which is trying to call a SMD file that is called: "female_01_shortsleeved_physics.smd", but It cannot find the SMD. The SMD file should be in the same folder where the qc file is and be named exactly what the error is displaying "female_01_shortsleeved_physics.smd".

Source tools labels the exported SMD's whatever the selected collection is called in blender, so I usually have to rename the exported SMDs to whatever I call them in the qc file.

Either export the SMD in question from source tools to provide one, or if you are capable enough; delete the line(s) of code calling it if you know you no longer require them (THIS is unrecommended as there might be multiple lines of code that rely on this SMD and the model might be incomplete without it).

After having no issues, now blender source tools constantly spits out these errors whenever I export a DMX or compile a qc. This has no effect on the actual addon and the addon is able to function properly. but the annoyance of having this error block the bottom message bar of blender is growing.

rollbacked and fresh installed blender but error persists.

What happens if you paste the path into the box? (For me I paste, D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\bin)

I had the same issue where choosing export path crashed blender and just copying the path and pasting into the export box was an alternative. It fixed itself after a while. Hope someone can find a explanation for why this may occur.
