As of 3/4/2021 I have temporarily locked this thread so that we can work thru some of the backlog. In the future we aim to only have a few titles at a time listed so as to more quickly eliminate mislabeled titles (it can get overwhelming for ppl to go thru hundreds of games at once, trust me I know!) In the meantime, use the link below to post titles for future reference for this main thread.

Hi all. If you're like me you often check out Steams specific store page for P&C games. You also are probably frustrated seeing the number of games listed as P&C that have no business being labeled so. This thread is designed to help clean that up!

The procedure is as follows:
1)Post a game listed with a Point and Click label that doesn't deserve it below. (feel free to write a short blurb defending your reasoning.)
2)If you're a member with some free time, click the game and flag its label.
3)If enough members flag a label, Steam's algorithm will eventually delete that label from the games' store page.


We're not sure the precise threshold for number of flags to delete a game. But with 800+ members I think we can help make a dent. As games are de-listed we will be curating this list to make it easier to focus on games that are still mislabeled


A quick note: There has been some longstanding discussion as to what makes a point and click game a point and click game. This is a whole topic in and of it self so for now I'd like to focus on the most egregious offenders of mislabeling. We can stay away for now of things like hidden object games and interactive novels (although for the record IMO they shouldn't be given P&C tags). I'd just be happy if I didn't see blatant offenders on the list (platformers, puzzle games, hentai stuff, etc). Just because a game uses a mouse does not make it a point and click game!!!!

If when going thru the list you come across a game that no longer has an incorrect P&C tag, it most likely has not been removed from our tally yet. Please feel free to post a comment on this thread identifying the game and once we have removed said game we will delete your comment. Thanks for your help keeping this page up to date:)

Also you may find it easier to log into steam via a web browser versus using the steam client app. I find opening each title in a separate tab and then rapid fire flagging all of them to be quicker than the app.

Just a reminder that although removing mistagged games is the main reason for this project, something equally important is tagging REAL p&c games with a "Point and Click" tag. This especially helps newer and overlooked p&c's get higher on the list. SO the next time u go to purchase a new P&C be sure to give it a tag!

Officially removed our 100th mislabeled tag! This is an approximately 10% reduction in over all mistagged p&c games, great work everyone!!!!
