Hello, everyone. My name is Maxi. I am from a small province in the north of Argentina, the beautiful Tucumán. I am immensely happy to have the opportunity to be here, to open a little about myself, and to chat about my work in this wonderful hobby that we share.
I have been playing since I was about 4 years old, and the first games I remember are “Super Mario Bros” and “Tiny Toon Adventures.” I remember spending hours in front of my old TV playing the same levels repeatedly on those clone consoles of the famous Nes and Sega Megadrive that arrived in these parts of the world.
Eventually, sometime later, the PC arrived home. Still, it was not until I entered my adolescence that I had a spectacular birthday present: a more powerful PC with a video card included. There, I discovered a particular game that exploded in my head. The famous Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, my favorite game for a long time and the one that made me appreciate on another level the beauty that this means of entertainment could make us feel and made me observe things that I didn't fully appreciate before, and if I'm talking about those beautiful landscapes with that brilliant background music among other things, something in me was born on that first march to Whiterun, and that still beats to this day.
But I also said at the beginning that I came to talk about screenshots. Although I hope I haven't overwhelmed you with the little intro, it was essential since, despite greatly enjoying the artistic section in video games, my fanaticism for immortalising these moments in screenshots and making art with it was born at the beginning of 2023.
I could summarize my work in 3 facets:

Personally, I feel that all it takes to make a great shot is to capture the right moment, to have the timing to take that angle, that shot at the enemy, that epic fight, or simply that flight between lightning bolts. Actions and places that merge perfectly to create something superior.

That's why one of the things I like the most is action scenes. I think it's the field in which I feel most comfortable. My fondness for screenshots arose from slowing down that moment of action a little and seeing it in more detail, zooming, rotating the camera, etc. I don't have a method for this; I simply try to make the scene in question more deeply appreciated.

Generally, in my action scenes, I usually use the photo mode of that same video game, sometimes limited in most cases. Still, I like to take it as a challenge and know that exciting things can be done with the mode made by the same developers. In cases where there is no such option or I simply want to expand “the moment” I resort to the famous Otis free camera. Elden Ring is a video game where I feel I can elevate my concept of the moment. Also, inspired by several artist friends, I was able to do some work that I am very proud of.

But the colors, of course, make an impact and give the captures another flavor. In these last few months (and thanks to a furry friend tutorial), I started to show a lot more affection for capturing landscapes than I already did.

And that encouraged me to play more with filters and different tones to give my work a little more “shine.” I don’t have a particular technique; I like to try different things in the process, and that is perhaps what takes me the longest time.

I don't use programs like Photoshop or Reshade; I adjust the variables of tones, saturation, etc., from the Windows editor xd. Although I would like to learn more complex techniques in the future, such as how to use the aforementioned programs, for the moment, I feel that I still have to learn many things in the general handling of colours, so I go step by step.

Finally, emotions. Let me explain. In many captures, I feel that I reflect my mood at that moment, either in the composition, in the colors, or in the choice of the final format that I want to give to the shot.

They say that art is born from emotion, and I couldn't agree more. Many times, I have felt lacking inspiration, and all I had to do was go to the Steam feed, see the wonderful creations of my friends, and go back to that image that I liked but didn't know what final form to give it, to finally finish the job.

I try to put my heart into everything I upload, so emotions will always be involved. I usually use some online websites to crop and change the final resolution. Finally, I like to give each capture a title to give context or just random things that come to mind at that moment.
