Need help with Command And Conquer 1

i got the first Command And Conquer 1 cd's (disc 1:GDI, disc 2:NOD and disc 3: The Covert Operations)

now i own a vista computer only, and when i installed the game, and try to start it, i get this error: "smapls_ip_ebp_12 could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll"

Does anyone have a solution 2 the problem, please help me.

When you click any .exe file or shortcut with mouse 2 button. And choose Properties > Combatibility > under "Combatibility mode" check "Run this program in combatibility mode for" and choose Windows 95. Do this for setup.exe in your C&C cd.
And i hope you can understand those instructions what are included in Readme file in that patch what i linked in my previous message. Just a basic Windows knowledge and Google is allways your friend.
Explaining these stuff in text messages is just little hard.

sorry i dont know about all these modes and compatibilty mode (i dont know what it is) i just installed it with windows vista. Wer do i change mode? and do i only have to turn another mode on when i install, and then turn back to normal mode and play?

Damn almost forgot after installing the patch i think you should get it to work in XP compatilbility mode

Did you install it in Win 95 mode? Do you have 64bit system? If you do have then i think theres no way to get it work. After installing it in Win 95 compatibilty mode you should try this: http://www.filefront.com/1250072/Red-Alert-Windows-XP-Fix/ This is a patch for Red Alert actually but i think it would work with C&C too if i remember right. There is readme inside so it will help you to install it properly. Cheers.
