I decompile .mdl, but in decompiled folder not have "modelname_physics", and in qc.

Having the same issue here.

with version .33
Decompiling models DOES NOT GENERATE A "modelname_physbox.smd" file
Decompiling models DOES NOT GENERATE A "modelname_physbox.smd" file

it will only generate a modelname_reference.smd file for me....

just download the 0.29 version

yes, version 29 seems to work with collision mesh - im scaling props using $scale 2

2 times the normal size - the wireframe mesh look to be good, but the collision is completely messed up - get stuck in objects when scaled 2x larger

maybe not a crowbar issue... will see
I'm having a bit of an issue as well; I'm using Crowbar 0.29 on the default settings but when I decompile the .mdl file I'm not getting a .phy file. I get a .qc file, several .smd files, and even a
filename_anims" folder with a "ragdoll.smd" file in it. I assume that means evertything is working but I'm trying to decompile an SFM model so I can use it as a ragdoll in GMOD so the physics file is kind of essential. Any ideas?

Models from Source Filmmaker don't normally have a physics file to begin with because they're not needed, if I remember correctly. That's why a lot of those ragdolls aren't in Garry's Mod as well unless the original creator uploads it with the proper files.

.phy file isn't something generated by decompiling, you get a physics.smd file which is like the reference.smd file... .phy should be near the .mdl file if it exists originally....

Ah, I see. Well the creator of the model I'm trying to port over has already said that they aren't going to port the model to GMOD themselves so I was hoping to take it upon myself and then try to get their permission to upload it, and so far finding a proper guide on how to do has been impossible. The only help I have been able to find said that I need to use a decompiler to extract the physics file but it seems that's not going to work. In any case do you perhaps know what I could do to create a physics for the model?

You would have to create them yourself in a modeling program such as Blender if a physics file doesn't already exist. This video was one of the first to pop up when I tried searching for a tutorial.

Okay, thanks Scout, or Spy I guess.

Would just like to confirm as well that version 0.29 decompiles the physics .smd file successfully.
