I've started working on my first ever unusual effect and I intend to make it part of the frontline collection. This is my first time uploading to the workshop so I have no idea how this thing works. Do I reach out to the frontline project saying I want my item added or is there a way to submit it directly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Worry not, it's quite easy. You submit it through Workshop with the promo template found at http://frontline.tf/. Then, the main Frontline! crew will add it to the collection on the Workshop. No direct contact with the team is necessary.
