River bed works without any updates?... I guess it is vanilla CTF which the mod supports by default, so that makes sense. Been a while since I played in that map, looking forward to it.

We will be updating the website link to the stats servers as it has changed. Those servers on the stats page linked on the website have been offline for a while, just as the stats show. We have a few more servers going online next month and they will most likely report to the hl2dm-maps.com stats server, at least at first until we update the regular stats page.

Some might quickly answer "Yes! Launch it!" but I like to be more up-front and honest. If you do not have a gaming community behind your current server or even a group of friends who like to play on your server and would like to try a new game, you may need to promote it to make it worth setting up.

The mod is actually getting more popular and the "regular servers" are getting more traffic, so if your server provides less lag for those who are not central or northwest U.S. then it could attract some players without your having to promote it.

For instance, we just never seem to get a good east coast server going. Anyone who wants to play and ping the most popular server are probably getting really high ping even to the "Official HL2CTF Server" which is located in St. Louis, MO.

NIce to have a few full match videos to watch. If there's anything that will help new players is to see a lot of consistent footage running through even one map in a live game setting. I know that I watched it all the way through, but as with many videos split into 2 parts, the second part has barely half the views of the first--meaning viewers really did not stick with it. Maybe you can make those into a tiny play list so the second one loads automatically.

I have favorited your channel and added it to the HL2CTF YouTube channel, so if you plan on recording more full-match videos on other maps that would be great. Not only that, but when I get the tutorial assembled with some live gameplay action, I can "borrow" some of your footage. ;)

At this point we have enough people indicating they would donate enough for the entrance fee so now we just need a show of support via our HL2CTF Community here on Steam as this is the place where we will be voting to get the mod up on Steam.

update: Powerful and High-energy!

We gotta work out a script to set keys to have an MP3 player in-game that plays out of the media directory. That's the only thing we never really focused on was the SDK's ability to have a media player. Maybe in HL2CTF 3.0... ooops!... what did I just say? :)
