Let's start off with 'Everyone wanting it to be a 2v2' ... Two people do not account for the entire community. Izumi's whole Ideal was for it to be a set of completely randomized 1v1s. This was the decision that was made, owners agreed to it. This requires no more discussion.

You didn't find a loophole, you were sabotaging an event where realistically you'd want the "Dodgeball elite" to participate, mass inviting lesser players to bulk out numbers and make it easier for yourself is inherently cheating. In retrospective you were at no disadvantage as you were virtually on top of the game at this point. What were you planning to achieve?

Furthermore, if you wanted to do a good deed, which you did claim to do at the time by, as I mentioned before, bulking out the playerbase. Then you could've taken up with the hosts themselves. You didn't have to come to me personally via steam DM and whomever else you may have contacted at the time. Besides, you should be more mad at myself for even leaking your epic plan to begin with! :^)

Two people? Try over a dozen. I didn't make this point because I was the only one annoyed, a lot of people were in fact. I asked as many people as I could on their opinion. I wanted to poke at the event and the bad idea behind it, that the 'bright' minds made an easily abusable event with simple invites. I myself just wanted to play a normal tournament just like everyone else, not this abomination of a tournament. Bad idea with a pinch of bad execution. It was a disaster before it started.
I spread 'my plan' to a lot of people. I wanted it to take effect as fast as possible with a sliver of hope of saving the event and forgot that both of you were practically in love. it didn't matter that much anyway, since it was halved and the player count was already reached.

Furthermore, not only Izumi hates people having fun and saying jokes to eachother, he also searches for reasons to gag, mute and ban pretty much anyone for any reason. He has no clue what is even going on around him but he likes to pretend. Someone says a joke? Izumi roles a dice and gags him for that many days. 2 people saying inside jokes to eachother. Guess what, GAGGED! I was personally banned for a week for a joke. Using the EA clan tag for 30 fucking seconds. Even though I changed it back I was banned 5 seconds later. No sufficient warning, no nothing. Banned for a week without a chance to even appeal my case. If Izumi gives you a ban hammer, he can easily just label you as 'being toxic' or some other lie and the owners will take the bait, no questions asked. No demo proof is required to dish out weekly bans. The community as at Izumi's expense.
