Proper mutation thumbnails

In my opinion, I think that gameplay thumbnails look bad and will attract less people. I was wondering if there was a way to make thumbnails similar to the official ones you can see on the wiki (http://left4dead.wikia.com/wiki/Mutations ; bottom of page). Is there an editor, or are there other ways to make proper thumbnails?

Which "gameplay thumbnails" do you mean in this case? The ones that show up in the main menu, the ones in the "add-ons" menu, or the Workshop ones?

I was talking about the workshop ones.

The images from the Workshop can be edited in any way that people feel is best to represent their mod. There isn't a way for us to let you capture the illustrative style of the icons exactly, however, our artists work on each one individually by hand.

Your best bet would be to use a program like Photoshop to try and recreate the look as much as possible.

Let me know if that answers your question, I'm still not 100% sure I understand.
