Bug in event handling?
But it doesn't because the entityid is not equal to the userid. You'd need to use EntIndexToHScript for that. It's not that I can't work around it, just adds complexity.

Too bad there isn't a way to get a userid given an enttityid.

Wondering if this isn't a bug in game events.

In an event like player_first_spawn, playerbots have userid's like a user.

But in player_hurt, they aren't attacker but attackerentid

I'm trying to keep track of scoring and not sure how to do it as some events I'm getting a userid, others an entityid for the same entity.

I suppose I could work around it by getting the entity reference and using that as the identifier

Problem with curling example - Engine Error (Check for write enabled)
The map is there and neat ;) I figured it was busted, I just didn't know if it trying to do something write on the bsp was a sign of some underlying bug
When I try to load the curling map with "curling_stadium scripted_curling" as the mutation, the game crashes with "Engine Error: Error opening maps/curling_stadium.bsp! (Check for write enabled). I only mention it because I would think it's trying to open it for write and I would think that's not supposed to happen

As far as I know Rectus they do. Whether they always get transmitted to client.. some of them aren't supposed to change.

On another note, can ConvertZombieClass() just always work?

I may be missing something, but trying to do something "somewhat" along the lines of Tankkk in coop and the only part I'm having a problem with is what I would think should be the simplest, spawning tanks.

Since ZSpawn doesn't raycast and we don't yet have something like GetSpawnPosition, I'm stumped. Since the spawns are totally dependent on gameplay even hardcoding them to a map really won't work well.

Also on my previous suggestion, IsAheadInFlow(vec), kind of silly would make much more sense to just have a function that returned the flow distance and using it's sign.

Vscript Snippets
I'd like to start a thread to post some helpful snippets based on the questions I'm getting if that's ok. Maybe a sub-forum is in order? It seems to early for the wiki at this point but if that's thought to be a better place, I'm happy to put it there.


First snippet is an example OnGameEvent_ handler as I found the differentiating between players and other ents a bit unintuitive as far as translating them to actual entity handles. I made it verbose for clarity.
