New paypal F/F policy going in effect in April (for US)
You guys can read better this topic on the other group ...

I myself have european Paypal and i use it either for USA and Europe still uncertain how is this new policies gona work for me ...

From what i understand people from USA to send payments after April with the option of Friends/Family will cost a minimum of 4$ as fees !!! It should be less explensive using the normal sending as paying for services, the only problem is the fees that should be less than 4$ but way more than the few cents it was till now ...

As solution is sending bigger payments for future bundles this way not paying fees every time a bundle happens ...

At that time i should have creat an account in Revolut that seens to be similiar to a paypal/bank account but with no fees in sending payments between accounts ...

Feel free to give more ideias or solutions to this BIG PROBLEM that is fees ...

Alternatives of payment:

- Paysafecard (no fees minimum 10$ will only acept from USA buyers)
- Revolt (no fees - Seens to be only Europe for now)
- Paypal (the normal way of sending for paying for a product or service should be at least 0.35$ of fees + % ... but still better than 4$ for each transaction ...)

damn, now the CAD$ 3 flat fee isn't so bad now.
As if their conglomerate needed MORE money. That's what happens when you get too big and corner a market.

There's always Stripe or Google Wallet, just a shame it'll hurt group buys so much.

If im not mistake Google Wallet (now Google Pay) still doesnt work in Europe

And Stripe has fees ... at least : 1.4% + €0.25 ...

Besides de normal option on paypal that is paying as a service or product , seens Revolut the best one because it only has fees in converting currencies ...

Revolut takes ages to get for new customers, at least it used to. So with this big, bad change I think they'll get flooded with new people. But still the best alternative I guess.

Likely because you aren't in the US. Tried to get one here, and I'm in a queue of 23,500+ with 7,000-person-increment line-jumping for people who get others to sign up.

I'm curious if you're accepting (now) large-ish PayPal transfers (~$50 USD) before the fees hit, or if you think there won't be enough group buyers to justify keeping track of a balance for each person like that moving forward.

I should have no problem i have about 35 subscrivers that should continue even after this problem, sending large credit is one option but i should have other options of payments , paysafecard codes at least for now i can acept that too. And normal paypal payments as service purchace should not have that fees ... only in the option of family/friends it will be dead ...

How about bank wires? In my country they're free in all the SEPA zone.

It will depend, i dont mind if i really dont get any fees in reciving (Im from Portugal - Europe)
WIth these changes it seems unlikely that I will be able to participate in any further group buys, but if you do find a good solution for US people, I'll be sure to be back. Thanks so much for doing these for all these years, I hope the time and effort it takes is worthwhile for you. :Dogen:
