Next of Kin originated as a fun group name,
out of customers @ my internet cafe. When
we closed our doors @ the Cyber Spot, I still
wanted to game with my friends, so I taught myself
how to build a counterstrike:condition zero server.
Built it on one of the old cafe comps, tested it,
and people came in, almost immediately. Our group
grew rapidly in 2005, we got too big, too fast. The
grp split, we lost contect with 90% of the originals,
and quite frankly, I was a bit burnt out on gaming.
After quitting drinking in 2008, my view on things
changed, however I still felt and desire to reconnect
with so many of the old friends, who tolerated my antics.
In 2009 I put up a cz server. In 6 weeks, we grew to 3
servers, a ventrilo server, website/forums for the players,
our own radio station, and irc channel. Our servers
(~|NoK|~ would like to thank gametracker,paypal,
leetservers,omnis w/o them we wouldn't be here
Thanks a million!!!!)have had close to 3,000
players connect in our 1st 2 months.
