my guess is that they calculated how many people would play the first round and sent them the schedual along with a password.

Honestly, I have no idea. The que was susposed to be regulatory, but there was no cap. It's also understandable that this is a new thing for all of us that have not played in competition and I knew there would be some kinks. I'm ready for the 8pm matches.
