Horrible Delay on SFM
So recently I started getting this problem, that whenever I try to do anything in SFM -- moving the camera, a model, right or left clicking things or even changing timeline modes -- is delayed by ~1-2 seconds. This is horribly frustrating and I haven't been able to find a fix for it. At first I thought it was due to too many models installed, but that didn't seem to be the case.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

1. is this a new problem that just popped up today? or have you been struggling with this always?
2. are you planning on making a poster or an animation?
3. how long is your clip? did you extend it at all? or is it still a standard 60 seconds (1 minute)?

It started happening two days ago.
It doesn't necessarily matter what I'm making, but it first popped up when I tried making a poster.
I don't change the length of my clips, so it's always 60 seconds long.

-- To add, I also tried verifying the cache.

the first thing I might reccomend is updating your drivers for your video card and maybe see if there's a program on your pc using lots of your RAM (task manager can tell you this)

second, when you're making a poster, you can bypass some of the lag by making your clip really really short (like just a few frames long)

if you think too many models, one thing you can do, is find your gameinfo.txt in usermod, and unmount all your mods except the essentials, and see if it helps

I've got the latest AMD drivers, so that's easily a moot point.

I'll try the others.

I swear to god.
It was Screencast.
