[Help] Animations
Hello,
I'm relatively used to SFM and posing and whatnot, however, I've decided to get into animations. Unfortunately, I can't get the hang of it. Not all videos help, and the ones that look like they're about to be helpful tend to skip over the basics. So, this is where I request help. I think it'd be about 10 times easier if someone is telling me what to do if I have a question or don't understand something or whatever. Would anyone be willing to help me out for free ;c; I'd be glad to recommend you to a few other mates who are in the same boat as I.
Thanks!

well, first things first: the Valve tutorials. The are extremely helpful and comprehensive on their own. I reccomend people to watch and follow along in order to learn the basics of just using SFM.

but if you've already done this, then really, your next step is just trial and error. Open up google, and whenever you have a question, do a google search. This is what I used to do to find solutions. Trust me, the SFM discussion forums have lots of helpful stuff inside, so finding those threads via google is very helpful

Thanks! I've tried using tutorials, but I'm pretty sure they weren't Valve tutorials. I really should've thought about that though.

Honestly nothing like trial and error works best after checking out some of Jimer Lins stuff.
You'll learn the annoying nuances, the cool tricks and fun of SFM, so play with whatever you can in the engine.
Basically work in keyframes in the graph editor to save pain. work from pose to pose. It took me a lot of headaches to be able to be happy with the animations. You'll need to familiarise yourself with it, and be sure to save lots so you can test stuff!
