RVE has its (very) hard limits. It's an additional feature for the PC version of GTA 5, so GTA 5 videos can be made with better detail. SFM, however, is a compact 3D animation suite, capable of creating 3D rendered videos from scratch, from importing user-created models to lighting to full skeletal animation. The only limits to SFM would be the limitations of the Source Engine. There's no other limit as to what you want to create and showcase.
Go ahead. Read it. It's amusing.
