Looking at my system (which is a 64 bit system) I have various Visual C++ 2005 and 2008 redists installed, what they are for, I can't tell you because I don't know. But I have both x86 and x64 versions loaded.

I did find this discussion with links to the Microsoft (x86) variants. As SFM is a x86 type program, you might want to download and install the 2005 and 2008 redists, then reboot your computer and try SFM again.

These are Service Pack variants...

yup, Go for it... The 2 links in the discussion will take you to the Microsoft site and automatically start the downloads. Run the exe files after you save them. (It's worth a shot!!)
I try and its still not working! This is so insane. Why my computer is unfixable? These are my folder what i got.

I will be away for 2 days

Left a note on the link... (You can delete the picture if you wish, it looks like everything is set properly). I don't know why this is giving you a problem. I think we went through computer specs and your's meet requirements. It loads fine on your brother's computer, what have you got on your and running that he doesn't?

If you've deleted system files (Windows 8) you can run a command to check your Windows system files that will validate window. You could have also turned off Windows processes required by Steam to run SFM.

Look up SFC /scannow on the internet. It will tell you how to validate Windows (XP through Windows 8.1)
mine is window 7

Same thing. Look up the Command Line Commenad SFC /Scannow
