What works and what doesn't when a map doesn't have HDR Lighting?
Just wondering, because I tried to add HDR lighting with Hammer or something that people told me, but I'm too dumb or too inpatient to do it

So does the aperture still work and depth of field and stuff like that?

If the map is not HDR then it's completely fullbright, meaning there is no lighting, plus the bloom system in SFM works off of HDR, so no HDR and a lot of things don't work right.

As far as I can tell, with maps that just have LDR. the only thing that doesn't work is AO.

aperture still works. and you can still get shading with lights. can even get a bit of map shading by turning off and on lighting a few times (right-click the viewport and uncheck enable lighting, then recheck it. might have to move the camera a bit to get it to stick). though it's still a bit brighter then would normally be the case, just not as bad.

EDIT: Yeah, bloom still works
