Help For Particles
A good way to view/find particles is by using the Particle Editor.
In SFM, go to Windows, and select Particle Editor. A new window will pop up with nothing in it. Click File, and Open. That will take you to another window, which will allow you to find particle files. Go up a few files till you find the TF file (which should be in steam\SteamApps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\tf. Open that and then open the particle file. A whole bunch of .pcf files will be available. Open one to view the contents. All the particles in that file should be visible in small windows, kinda like the model viewer.

Also, your link is broken.
