Freedom in any sort of designing is not a good thing. You can't just say make a super great map for me, I will give you complete freedom. So be pleased to tell every thing you want to see in the map, any smallest detail or how you do images it.

As for making new mods, get a modelling program and watch some tutorials. There are plenty of free ones out there. I've heard about Blender, you could check that one out?

Problem that file structure is written when model is compiled, so if you move them inside game folder you'll probably get errors like missing textures. For textures you have to rewrite single .vmt witch a lot and will make you cry. Sadly there no kind of standards on how to structure or call your custom content, so people do such as they think it should be done.

Texture replacement should work, but overall lighting might look silly.

no miracle, had to split map. For now it 2 of 3 maps.
Despite everything was working in HL2, Windmill ain't rotating in smf, water is flickering as hell. I only hope its my poor knowledge of the smf.
Don't forget to type buildcubemaps in console.

What do you mean it wasn't a map? The cutscene was done in SFM, so it would have to be. Unless you mean it's a field map with props.

I wonder how hard it will be to make such wheat under source, i guess it was made in some 3d software.

I'm already working on it. Using this map as sample. Just want to do something complex, on how to decompile, edit some things, and compile with HDR (course it some times crashes).
