Hi! I make music.
It's been a long time since I'd really been able to work on projects, but now that my job is easing up I'm looking to lend a hand to some interesting projects.

My previous work includes the current Saxxy entry Crackpot, and I won a Saxxy in 2011 for the Best OST category for Saxton's Six. I have also done older tracks, such as fan music for Firefall as well as The Secret World.

Part of why I'd like to do some music work for more films now is that I'd like to diversify what I compose, and really to just become better acquainted with the film making community. I'm confident in my ability to do orchestral works, but things like the Saxxy films always presented unique challenges. I didn't know I could mix traditional Japanese instruments and funk guitar like that until I was asked to try, for example! And going in and out of Pyrovision, that was a new one for me.

Anyway, I'd love to try more music that stretches my comfort zone, especially sci-fi stuff. I feel good about my ability to compose orchestral works but I'm willing to mix that with other aural concepts or abandon the orchestra altogether for something new. I have plenty of virtual instruments that range from traditional sounds to plenty of synth tones, as well as live guitar, bass, and cello if it's called for. Oh, and I have the gear to do a GLaDOS voice if it's needed, and I think I do a pretty good impression of her...

I've also been able to work with both rough video cuts (Crackpot) and timing sheets (Saxton's Six), whichever would fit into your workflow to keep a project on schedule. I can also render final audio with all SFX/voicework timed, panned, and balanced with music, though lately I'd just been delivering the music track.

My only caveat is that I do work a pretty demanding engineering job, so if you would like me to work on a complex track, I'll need ample time if you have a deadline since I'll only have a couple short evenings a week and then generally a free weekend. A lot of it is a learning process for me too for things like adding electronic components to my workflow too, so that will add time to my ability to deliver anything should I need to go research techniques and sounds. As well, I can probably only handle one track at a time rather than working on a couple in parallel, so I will try to keep up-to-date on when I'm open to do a track.

So let's do something fun maybe!
