Now that the Christmas holidays and other winter holidays are over and the Steam game sales have finished taking everyone's attention away from Aperture's favorite past time, hopefully the next contest will start bringing people back again.
It's always been so before.
There has been a competition in which black surfaces weren’t allowed, my suggestion is to try and make a puzzle with no portalabe surfaces.
There is only one rule – No White Tiles.
Further explanations:
Everything is allowed except for portalable surfaces and flip panels (except when it’s a Hammer-made flip panel with its both sides non-portalable).
And no, this doesn’t mean you can’t use the portal-gun, by which I mean, conversion gel IS allowed. I would say pre-placed conversion gel also shouldn’t be allowed, but it might get too complicated that way, so if you REALLY need a pre-placed portalable surface, use white gel.
This competition actually doesn’t need you to use white gel. You can also do something like this.
