Let's call next challenge: "Blind test".

Rules: at least one significant part of the puzzle must be achieved without player physical presence in the same room. In other words, you need to set up some items (portals included), go elsewhere and set the wheels in motion.

Exemples: Frankencube walking and blocking some lasers which open doors elsewhere in the map. Portaling under a cube dispenser, with the second portal in an other room, and you in a 3rd place reseting the cube. etc

Can you post a link to a map that uses that mechanic which you are talking about as an example? I'm not sure I understand the theme of the challenge well enough.

1. Talisac - his map had a few very minor flaws and I would've placed him second, but I want him to win this competition.
2. Almisuifre - Every time I play a big airy vanilla puzzlemaker chamber I remind myself of Mevious' maps and they're still the best. Other big mappers such as Gig or Azorae also stick to vanilla - it's the best style for me. The test is also challenging enough, but not confusing at all.
3. Polux - fine puzzle.

How can you know that a person who has voted has played all the maps in the competition?

I watched the videos, they're pretty cool, but the portal-related video that I enjoyed mostly
was the speedrun of Aperture Tag, played by the guy, who made the speedrun of Portal2.

Ok, I'll be the first one to vote. I'm just gonna say that first and second place were really easy for me to pick, because they have the fewest (possibly don't have any) minuses in them. Third place was the hardest to choose, because all other maps have their advantages and thinking back which moment from them I liked and which not took some time. Hoping to make the right choise, here I go:

1) Almisuifre - Furrows
2) quaternary - Swing
3) Stagger Lee - Down and Out

...And I thought funel+fizzler puzzles aren't that enjoyable...

Wait, wait - I never said I'm offended. I took a few moments to think how my comment would sound when somebody reads it and I never thought it can sound as if I'm offended or anything. It probably sounds like that because I'm the only one who has commented on this discussion and probably because it was kind of too much expressing my opinion in too many lines (as I am doing now...oh boy). I can't find an answer to the question "Why would I feel offended?" by the way.
