I'm pretty sure the map works with BEE2, just wasn't sure if that was expected as part of the competition guidelines or not. I'll go get it and give it a go.

I suggest that the line 'Do not make your map be dependent on having additional programs or addons installed.' should make specific reference to BEE2, as that's not obvious to me as a newcomer.

I think you guys are out of my league as far as puzzles go... for the '2 Items Activators' round I only seem to be able to solve one of the puzzles!

Also, looking at Sendificatorious! a bit more, it appears to require installing BEE2 in order for it to work. Does this count as a mod (and thus place this map outside the rules of the competition), or is this just something that everyone other than me already has, and I need to get with the program.

With the current voting round, the map 'Sendifictorius' recomends playing a specific other map first (that is not within the competition). Should judges neccesarily follow this recomendation, or are maps judged independent of external knowledge?

I'm not sure I'm currently a designer in the sense you think I mean either. My title is 'designer', but I've spent most of the last six months solving technical issues with data that needs to get massaged through overly complicated asset pipelines.

As to Nifflas, I've just started playing through Knytt Underground - fully enjoying it so far.

And yes, I don't think being paid to do something makes any difference in the quality of work one does. I know lots of hobbiest game developers who do work that I constantly envy.

Previously I've been a game programmer, tools programmer and level scripter on various games at Lionhead and a catch all developer at a small startup that never quite got off the ground.

On every game I've worked on, I've created puzzles and tried to get them into the game. On every game I've worked on I got them in. On every game I've worked on (bar Black and Whtie 2), the feature that my puzzles were associated with got cut before release.

So here I am, ready to see if I'm actually any good at this puzzle creation thing.
