Only my maps are bad but I don't let it bother me.

1) Gravity - Camerson 1313
2) Luxurious Chamber - LPChip
3) Far 2 Close - Innocentive

If you can just figure out a way to make a weighted turret able to depress a button, that alone would give them more use.

I don't even care if you have figured out a way to make a companion turret. As long as the turret is carried with you and is integral to solving your chamber, it's all good.

It doesn't matter what else you use in your chamber. There are zero limitations as long as it is a companion cube map(or sphere, or light cube or frankencube or ANY other type of companion you want to use). You can have fifty cubes in it if you want to.

Looks very cool! As long as it travels with the player and is integral to solving your chamber, it is perfectly fine as a replacement companion.

LPChip is correct in my definition of a Companion Cube map. Likewise, Deathwish's suggestion works for me too. I made a reflector companion cube map not too long ago that worked nicely so I am open to creative ideas for replacement companions.

But to reiterate: A Companion Cube is just as it sounds, a companion. He travels with you and puzzles are created with that in mind. If you choose to have it destroyed at the end, that's fine and you are a monster.

Thank you for the votes! I didn't think this crowd would vote a easy map in. I stand corrected.

For the next challenge, a idea that is apparantly hard to make a creative map out of... so that is what I propose for this collection of esteemed mappers. A Companion Cube map.
Try and make a thoughtful map that uses a CC as your puzzle solving partner.
