Hi, I am...
Hi. I am.

As are you.

We all are, for if we weren't we wouldn't be here, now would we. :D

So, my name is Edward, bit of a mad scientist, and partial coder. Have edited a game called Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 for many years, but been feeling some limits here and there. Been wanting to get into the Source editing of things, but it is mainly that I wish to code together silly Gmod sketches. Yeah, I'm kinda lazy when it comes to doing stop motion, and just as so to place keyframes in SFM, yet I have the drive to pull a ragdoll's limbs with scripts, and hoping to jump between ragdoll physics and rigid animations. I've placed my questions about this in the appropriate places.

I decided to play a bit with the PeTI while waiting for answers, but there came a time I felt a little limited. I read somewhere about importing these maps into Hammer for fine tuning, but when I did that I was almost aghast as to how unoptimized things looked. One cube for every tile of anything (liquids, triggers, walls, etc). I felt I couldn't work with that so I decided to redo my puzzles from scratch in Hammer. Got the hang of things quite quickly, and found it quite easy, especially when using alot of instances. ;)

Sadly, you may not see much of my work because I sort of have a plan on rehashing 550 landscapes from another puzzle game and packing it all into one vpk. But maybe one of these competitions will spark some inspirations that I'll create and release. Though, be warned that I'm not the best puzzle creator so it may be far too easy for your tastes, but maybe entertaining. :)
But, if nothing else, this seems to be a good start into getting into the Source editing.

/Edward
