Raidable Bases, Wipe, Final Purge and Weed for Profit

NPC Raidable Bases is Here!

If you've been playing lately you'll notice we launched the Raidable Bases plugin by Nivex last week. I'm still tweaking the loot tables but they are fun and a good way to boost your C4 levels. I'll be adding more bases as I build them. This is a good way to have fun raiding without adding salt to other's wounds. This plugin is changing almost daily so expect and report bugs in the discord server and if the loot ever seems "not worth it" please also let me know so I can make adjustments.

Wipe and server update Thursday

Wipe is coming this Thursday and it introduces some new mechanics that lots of people are looking forward to. Vehicles are finally here! In addition helicopters will no longer spawn on map and only be purchasable through the bandit camp. We're keeping the minicopter for sale int he shop while I finish a new plugin that essentially merges all the good parts of the MyMiniCopter and VehicleLicense plugins. Expect the prices to be similar to bandit camp when I'm done. This is to maintain the VIP perk of unlimited fuel and no decay minicopters.

FInal Purge

There was a programming error on the weekend and there was no official purge announced by the server. Any purge raids because of the error will not be reversed but if you need something to get back on your feet let me know. It was decided that we would skip this purge and instead open up server wide player purge PVP for the last few days before the wipe. Planes will drop C4 and rockets to help with the fun. This event will start tonight, June 29th, at midnight.

Cloth Farming for Scrap and RP

I am aware that the farming mechanics of the game introduced by Facepunch make farming highly profitable. For those not aware you can farm and sell your goods at Bandit for Scrap and then convert the scrap to RP in the /S store to save the RP for next wipe. I am not considering this an exploit since it was introduced by Facepunch as a game mechanic and it is up to them to balance and fix.

WE'RE BACK!

Hello Survivors!

After a year of you begging us to bring this server back we finally caved. R1Z1 is BACK!

I'm currently in the process of rebuilding the server and making some changes. There has been a lot of changes to Rust over the past year and some of the old mechanics just don't work anymore.

Hello Survivors,

Today I have some bittersweet news to share, AFTER this upcoming wipe Firestorm and I plan on taking a break from admiring and will be taking the server down (coming down Nov. 1st) to focus on some important and exciting real-life projects. when we first started RUSTolation it was to fill time and be a casual hobby, since then we have soured through the rankings breaking into the top 500 servers as well as staying consistently in the top 5% of all active servers and I can never thank you guys enough! Although with that came the need for a lot more attention and again all this was supposed to be a hobby we loved but since starting I have gotten married to the love of my life and Firestorm has welcomed a new member to his family ;) so we have been absent more than usual and we realize it.

We aren't planning on leaving for good, we just want to focus more on our families and creating memories with them and don't think its fair to you or our families if we try to force balancing both. With holidays right around the corner, we will need even more time and don't think its fair to you guys if we weren't able to be around to help in the server and on top of that some lonely neckbeard keeps wasting money ddosing us and while it doesn't affect me and should just flatter us that were being targeted on a mass scale being a small community pve server lmao, but you guys shouldn't have to deal with it either so I think this is for the best and who knows when we come back rust could be completely different and we may have a new unique game modes to showcase ;)

I hope no one is too upset with us but at the end of the day we all are extremely lucky to have what we have and need to make sure we appreciate it and don't take it for granted, while I dreaded writing this, no matter what this community will always be something I remember and cherish and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the support over the years <3

Again we are still going to be live through all of Octobers Wipe with a new IP with better security to help prevent any more ddos. (the new IP will be posted or you can just re-search RUSTolation after Thursday's wipe in the server browser.

Man it sure has been a long month but its that time again to start fresh with a new map, new players, and new experiences! Firestorm is updating the server as I type and should be back up soon!

I just wanna thank everyone who has played and continues to play as we get closer and closer to our 2 year anniversary as a server! Running this server with Firestorm has been one of my favorite gaming experiences I've ever had! so thank you all again for letting this continue by all your amazing support! <3

A recent exploit has come to our attention and we are very disappointed in everyone who used it and DID NOT REPORT IT!

We have a list of everyone who did this. The exploit was buying Survey Charges with RP then recycling those charges for sulfur and other items to make C4 and Rockets. Since quarries have been removed this is a clear oversight on our part and a total scam.

Effective immediately: Anyone caught exploiting an obvious balancing issue will be summarily flogged and then banned! shame on you

Player will need to build Furnace/Refinery Bases to protect Loot moving forward

In an effort to cull our plug-in list, we will be removing the plug-in that protects large furnaces and oil refineries (within tc protection) from being looted, at this time the plug-in only serves that purpose so moving forward players will need to build a small base around them to protect them with the rules of the server. We feel this is a small compromise to get rid of a plug-in off the list. If anyone has any questions I’m always reachable by steam or discord

TLDR: if you leave a large furnace or oil refinery open to other players to access then they are within the rules to loot as the loot would not properly protected[\b]

We had a catastrophic failure today and the entire map file was wiped. We also didn't have a recent backup. We have setup a free one time kit in town that has 100K wood, stone and metal frags to help you rebuild. I don't know what to say other than we're sorry and we really don't intend to have these many problems. Thanks as always for those who understand. We will likely be canceling purge this weekend to help people rebuild.

Please re search RUSTolation in the server browser to reconnect and due to the old server completely breaking we had to load our last back up that was just before purge so everyone enjoy their bases back till the force wipe :)

(Now that we have moved the issues we have felt with in the last two weeks won't happen again)
