New group for a new outlook and goal

So after some discussion with a couple people and some thinking I have posted a new group (with some help) with the concept of acting as a multiplayer hub for strategy games.

Discussions are open in the same way and there is a secondary forum for searching for players for games and as numbers grow we will try to organize events and eventually a tournament or two. Right now I'm trying to think of rules for grudge matches just so I can type GRUDGE MATCH!!! in large caps letters and play the theme song from thunderdome.

This also lets us get out from under Zero's little storm cloud and enjoy the new titles that are coming out over the next year, like x-com 2 and the new master of orion (I do not know if that is this year or not). Part of this needs to be done because steam does not allow group name changes.

Either way it is a positive focus where we can dwell on our actions not on one man's. this area will not be closed so you can also blow off steam in here if you want.

I want to do a little bit of market research here, something that iceberg might be interested in looking at. Please answer the questions honestly, there are no right or wrong answers.

Because of the nature of this concept there are going to be a few rules.
1) Only reply once in this thread, if you feel the need to change or update your answers please edit your posts.
2) No arguing with other people and their opinions. In this thread, that will be deleted.
3) Try to keep all answers to a few short sentences.
4) If you have questions or concerns about the survey please post a separate thread about it and they will be addressed.

Have you tried the Blackbox mod?
I am one of the Blackbox developers and we took it upon ourselves to make the game better. We are working on this for free, as a hobby and because we think the game concept was really good, but the code quality was lacking.
Blackbox mod is actually direct code changes to the game (yes, we have been working on the code with permission from the dev for several years by now).
We fixed a lot of bugs/crashes and added many new features to the game.

Maybe you'll find Stardrive with Blackbox (and the Combined Arms content mod, which I also helped develop) a more pleasing game to play.

From my experience with sd1 I feel sd2 should be complementary (free) because I bought sd1 out of beta and it was not finished.. it's still full of horrible bugs and I did try to get a refund to no avail. I was banned from the steam community because I was so angry. Always read through the comments from users before you buy. I will never be buying another game from this guy and neither should you. This sort of behavior (false advertising) should not be supported or history will repeat itself...... you have been warned. ..

i never woulkd spend my money to SD2!!! Finish SD1 first!

This game would be the best 4x game i ever have seen, but this guy wants us to spend him money for the second SD?! F**ck off give me my money back...
The Dev. can only change my opinion on him, if the will finish SD1... But I think the most ppl are thinking like me.. Its his choise

They claim it is "intangible". That was the same response as Paypal as well, even though I made the complaint before the time ran out. Every business is run by a Ferengi.
