Please be so kind and link me the symfphys addons that you used so I can try it too.
I just want to avoid using the wrong symfphys addon.
After that I will test it later the day.

I noticed the same issue and I consulted the developer of Simfphys and found out the following:
It is because of the collision group of the wheels that they do not collide with my ferry. None of us made a mistake there, it can only be described as pretty unfortunate.
I will possibly rework the ferry in the distant future, which could solve this problem. I cannot say when, though.
The developer of simfphys took care of it and will release the fix soon!
