Controller Configuration Crashes UI

ISSUE
Attempting to update the controller configuration for a game results in the Library UI crashing to a black screen, and the configuration is not persisted.

OS
Windows 10

STEPS

Select LIBRARY from the main menu
Right click a game
Select Manage -> Controller Layout
Select a different layout than the current selected one

RESULTS
The window closes and the library crashes to a black screen until the client is restarted. The change is not persisted and the game will still be set to the previous controller layout.

EXPECTED
The controller layout is updated.

I've reported the same thing.

I can't choose any configuration from any game and the library goes black when I try to select one.

This is a problem with the last stable update, I'm not using beta

I found a temporary solution to this.

1. Open the big picture mode
2. Go to your library and select the specific game that you wishes to change the controller layout.
3. Select manage/settings (the gear icon), select 'developer', select 'clear selected controller layout'.
4. Now you should be able to select the layout that you want and apply it within big picture.

Not sure if it works the same way outside of big picture (normal desktop mode) but im just happy that it works for me. Hopefully this helps.
