Steam Overlay Crashes

When using steam overlay, my PC completely crashes and goes onto a black screen and the only way to fix it is by completely restarting my PC. Anyone got any suggestions on how to fix it.

When using the Steam overlay, my PC completely crashes and displays a black screen. The only way to resolve this is by restarting my PC. I am using an R7 7800X3D, an Astral RTX 5080, and an RTX 3050. I experience the same issue in all games.

Here are temporary solutions:

Option 1: Go to Steam > Settings > Interface and disable 'GPU accelerated rendering in web views.'

Option 2: Go to Steam > In-Game and disable 'Enable Steam Overlay while in-game.' This option is particularly convenient for me since I use a dual monitor setup. If the issue persists, this is the last resort, as Steam currently does not have a patch or a future update planned to fix this bug
