I'm seeing this too. I'm not in any beta version of Steam though. This topic was just the most relevant search result I could find when I tried to look for answers about what's going on. I just started to notice this happening within the last week or two. It's been longer than that since the last time I restarted Steam / since the last time Steam updated, so it seems to me that it's something server side and not related to the Steam client.

From "home" above the list of games in the library when I look at the "what's new" shelf there, if it's an adult game the post loads with blurred images. Same if I'm viewing the game directly and click a post from the activity feed like the first post here describes, blurred images.

But if I go to that game's board and go to the "events and announcements" tab and click on the post from its message there, the images show up just fine. Or if I click "share" on the post and copy the link and view it in Firefox the images show up just fine. I hadn't thought to check from the store page but I just checked that since the first post here mentions it and the images do show up just fine for me if I find the posts from there as well.
