Same thing just happened to me.

no need to re-add them, try return to stable version, non steam game reappear for me. or wait for new beta version

They came back after a restart so I guess they just failed to load after updating for some reason

Can folks chime in if they see the shortcuts occasionally disappear with the latest beta we just pushed?

Thanks. I just downloaded the latest Beta Update and after the restart the non-steam Game links reappeared.
But as the last two days these links where mostly not loaded and shown (they were still in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\...\config\shortcuts.vdf") and maybe every one of six times, they loaded and were shown for one Steam session, just to disappear again with the next start of Steam, I will observe the next few Steam starts to check whether these links show up permanently again.
So I will provide another feedback by tomorrow.

After updating, the same thing happened. All the non-steam games were gone, but when I restarted Steam they appeared again.

Since the update and restart of last night, Steam has shown again the non-steam links for this whole day (up to now). I played different games (Steam and non-steam) and had several exits and restarts - looks good to me again.

@colind8 I think you might have been on the first beta we pushed that day, we pushed a 2nd beta with a more robust fix several hours later. Please let me know if you continue to have issues.

I just updated to the latest. All my non-steam games are still here. They didn't disappear this time.
