There's a chance that uploaded images or videos will fail to go through when sent through chat (whether this changes between group chats or friend chats, I don't know.)

The affected media types are only images and videos sent as files as far as I'm aware, as this doesn't affect direct messages or hyperlinks such as youtube videos.
