Steam Beta Crashes When Opening Page or Playing Game With Xbox Controller Connected

I don't know if other games are affected with this bug besides Elden Ring Nightreign, but if you have a Xbox Controller connected and attempt to visit Nightreign's game page or try to play it will cause the Steam client to crash completely, rendering the game to become completely unplayable as long you have the controller connected or reconnect it during play.

You can't even open Nightreign via File Explorer with the .exe file or store page if you have the Xbox Controller connected.

Same thing happening to me today. PC setup for big picture with controller so locked out until leaving beta

Just came here to make the same report. Can confirm that both me + my friend had to opt out of Steam beta in order to get Nighreign to stop crashing. I can also confirm that unplugging the controller stopped the crashes from occurring even while still in Steam beta.
