Steam beta crashes on startup

ISSUE
The Steam beta crashes on startup, complaining about using both GTK2 and GTK3 symbols.

OS
Debian testing

STEPS
- Join Steam beta
- Restart the client
RESULTS
Steam silently crashes after the restart. To see the error message, start the client from a terminal.

EXPECTED
The client starts.

Yeah, getting the same error here on Arch Linux after the Beta-Update from July 31st

(steam:4045): Gtk-ERROR **: 00:03:34.946: GTK+ 2.x symbols detected. Using GTK+ 2.x and GTK+ 3 in the same process is not supported

Same issue on Kubuntu 24.04. Fix for those who do not know is to open ~/.steam/debian-installation/package/ and delete a file named "beta". Relaunching Steam will re-download the current version.
