Yes they have and no they won't. And yes you are saying something silly because platform exclusives are a great way to tick off gamers.
They are also a great way to limit the number of people interested in buying it.
Here is their view on Steam Deck exclusive games from 2021.

So pretty safe to say, if they don't like Steam Deck exclusive games, they won't like Steam exclusive games.
Heck you just have to look at Epic to see just how well Exclusive Games went for them.... they still aren't making a profit and they ticked off lots of gamers.
Even the epic made games that are exclusive to epic aren't doing well with 1 single exception.... fortnite. That is literally the only game keeping them afloat and even that hasn't been doing as well as it has in the past.
Exclusive games, on any platform (and I include xbox and playstation) is dumb. There are games that were going to be launched on Steam that I would have bought on Steam that went epic exclusive for 6 months for one and a year for another just weeks before launch.
There are lots of games on xbox and playstation and nintendo that I would have loved to have bought and played, but I won't buy the hardware just to play some game. Thankfully 2 of these companies seem to be learning that exclusive games are bad.
Seriously, what would make a game being exclusive to Steam better? Would it cost less? Nope. Would you have more people playing it? Nope. Would it be better quality? Nope.
There are ZERO reasons that make exclusive games better.
