New option in store
This option checks the PC requirements and recommends games that it can support.

This would rule out games and programs that your PC cannot support.

You mean match your specs with the open text field where they can enter whatever they want?

Example...

Sure. But Valve would have to force the devs to have requirements that are actual specific product names, targeted resolution and targeted FPS for said requirements first.

Not to mention the other hardware/software configurations/setting that may skew the results in a wild manner.

If we found ourselves in this situation, the solution would be to expand it.

For example.

We go to the store, we choose the "free to play" section, of course this will be assigned another name. We look for the filters section, we would have an option to choose "auto recommend games" and another to choose with "different specifications" as you mention.

- game type

- resolution

-ghz

-RAM

only takes a few seconds to scroll down to system requirements, plus with FSR/DLSS/XeSS scaling it would be even less accurate if automated.

XeSS supports DLSS and FSR.

Example.

It would be activated by default for the user with low requirements.

Certainly in some cases of similar performance. In a performance comparison between XeSS and DLSS in the game Shadow of the Tomb Raider, DLSS Quality achieved 25% better performance than XeSS Quality.

DLSS would detect it automatically.

Image quality
Some say that XeSS images are a little smoother than DLSS or FSR.
