However using any of those in Steam chat now brings up autocomplete for the emoticons I have of
It's bloody obnixious and really poor design IMO. Let us turn autocomplete emoticons off please!
IMO the suggested option should not disable autocompletion entirely but instead require you to press arrows to choose an emoticon, otherwise leave the text as is.
Maybe there is a Steam Skin that can take care of this crap?
If I type :P in chat it pops up with suggestions, and when I hit enter it chooses the one my mouse is hovering over. My mouse is usually somewhere over the chat window so this gets really annoying having to backspace the emoticon and re-type what I wanted to.
I usually end the sentence with :P or :D or :) etc.. probably a lot of people also do.
Please option to disable!
1. Delete messages (Sending something private in the wrong window by accident, etc.).
2. Modify messages.
3. "Your message was seen" info (with option to turn off, of course).
4. "Normal" emojis out of the box.
and rly steam just dont bring in new features without also adding the ability to disable them, this is a simple concept that would severely decrease negative feedback
I hate that so much .... especially if the damn emoji has a mile long name and you have to delete that ♥♥♥♥ just to get to that D you wanted ... sigh
Have to watch out where to place my cursor though, because if that is accidentally where the list pops up, it selects one immediately as well.
volvo pls fix
Honestly, whoever designed this awful UI should be fired.
