this bug have been there ever since release of new chat ui, they never really cared to fix it. i guess that this new feature with screenshot share and clips people are starting to understand it and forces valve to fix the issue

I've had this same issue for two weeks.
It started happening after sharing a few gameplay clips using the new steam recording.

This blows, I can't share anything anymore after sending a couple clips to friends. What's the point of making clips if you can't even show them to anyone. Super frustrating.

Yeah, after using the steam game recording feature to share clips with my friends I'm now only able to send a picture or two a day before getting this error consistently for the rest of the day. It's extremely annoying and renders the game recording feature pretty much useless.

I'm pretty sure it's just "oo uu u hit upload limit for this week" or something but it doesnt have any error code name so it's just that..

Yep, it happens to me as well, they never bothered to fix it.

There's also that issue when you upload stuff to someone it just disappears after fully uploading and you have to upload it over and over again till it finally shows up in chat

Did it ever start working again for anyone? Do you have to wait several days?

how long did all of you have to wait? it's been 15 days and i'm still getting blocked from uploading. figured i hit a secret rate limit but i also figured 14 days should have been the max since that's when most old chat messages are gone

It's random and it's def a bug/problem that they never cared to fix.

i'm guessing it has to be tied to people who upload a lot and some kind of data cap but maybe their system is completely broken and that's why they are silent about it
