Dear Steam/Valve team,

I’d like to highlight an issue that significantly slows down the experience of sharing screenshots within the Steam platform, especially in community or friend chats.

Currently, the process is quite complicated and unintuitive:

1. After pressing `F12` to take a screenshot, there’s **no direct or visible button in the chat interface** to access my screenshots.
2. To share an image, I need to:

* Manually find the "Screenshot" section in the client;
* Upload the image to Steam servers;
* Copy the public link;
* Return to the chat and paste it (but if I leave the chat, the message I was writing gets lost).
3. If I want to share **multiple screenshots**, I have to save the links somewhere else temporarily, because switching windows causes me to lose the unsent message.

This experience feels **frustrating and outdated**, especially during live gameplay or active discussions.

### 💡 Suggestions for Improvement:

* Add a **“My Screenshots” button directly inside the chat interface**.
* Allow users to **send screenshots directly into chat** with previews (drag & drop or quick selection).
* Implement **chat message drafts**, so the user doesn't lose what they were writing if they switch windows.
* Enable an option to **instantly share a screenshot right after capturing it** (e.g., “Do you want to share this in chat?” prompt).

Steam is a fantastic platform, but improving this aspect would make communication between friends and within groups far more fluid and modern.
