It feels like there is some sort of an upload limit Steam Chat has that I'm hitting? Wish Steam was more clear on this, as in how much of the limit each clip consumes and how much I have left. That way I could be more selective with which clips I share, instead of sharing every single funny moment but then hitting the limit and not being able to share a more important video clip.
It would also be nice if there was some simple one-click share integration with YouTube, with the Steam client uploading the video clip as an unlisted video on your YouTube account, providing you with the video link. Obviously it would take some time for YouTube to process the video before it's viewable, but still. Heck, maybe Steam could even provide some video sharing plugin API, that way whoever could write a plugin for uploading a Game Recording video clip to whatever video hosting platform they want and it would show up under the Share button in Game Recording in the Steam Client.
I'll send a single file thats 5 megs to a friend, and then the next friend, it FAILED TO START UPLOAD (25). Then the next day I'll be able to send multiple clips to both with no problem, then the day after maybe I cant send ANY video clips to anyone at all. I've converted the files, resized them, stripped the meta data off em, moved them to different drives, nothing seems to be able to tell me why its happening. Which makes me think its related specifically to the steam servers not the files...
but its also limited sometimes to specific people on my friends list, and we all live in the same city, like 10 minutes from each other. *shrug* The last 3 months it has been really bad on my end.... I'm seeing it happen off and on every other day, and its infuriating lol.
