Steam recording does not pick up my headset transmission very well. Only gets about a quarter of the audio. Drove myself crazy troubleshooting, adjusting mic settings through steam, nothing helped.

I figured it was because my mic was daisy-chained and wireless. I plugged in an alternate mic directly. No change.

That I learned this new feature does NOT respect the preferred mic set in steam voice settings. It will always use the default set by your OS.

Please add a selection option for preferred microphone device. Please convey that the voice settings in the tab right under recording settings do not apply to recording microphone.
