Steam Recording not recording CFX titles past main menu
Steam Recording has had a unique feature of recording any games that have Steam overlay what worked great for FiveM as it met my requirements. Around early February the beta build broke this for me. I raised where I could and left the beta build as it worked on release. Following Steam update this morning. FiveM and RedM no longer record once selecting a server and actually playing. See Below

I am not running any other recording software and have disabled steam broadcast. using a RTX 3070

I am also having this same issue. it works in the menu, then once the server I join begins loading it stops the background recording.

I just hope it returns because steam recording was less resource hungry than the alternatives

Also having issues with this, it'll record up until I start loading into the server and then it stops.

Yup it does not work anymore after the update. Neither RedM or FiveM works anymore with the recording.

After some testing, I found out that the issue seem to occur with the latest FiveM game builds. Deleting the "/AppData/Local/FiveM/FiveM.app/CitizenFX.ini" file each time before you start FiveM sort of prevents the issue from happening. Basically, Steam is not recognizing the game due to the invalid game build.

You could write yourself a short program wich deletes the file automatically. ChatGPT could help. Otherway you could just delete it by hand.

For now this will be my solution, can recommend.

To bypass restart right click your short cut and click properties. at the end where it says "Fivem.exe" do " -BuildNumber" and you can even do " -BuildNumber -pure_1" to do puremode too.
unsure if that works with work around since that overwrites most of ini

So after testing. It doesnt work with shortcut but it does when restart happens however steam overlay is disabled so you have to view the recording through the steam app under view videos
