30 min is too long

Agree. 10 minutes or so would be my limit WITH the voiceover.
Without the voiceover, I stopped after about 1 minute and felt like it was a waste of my time.

it's a good idea and a good start. I think they can maybe make it 10 seconds each and keep it at 30 minutes. It can cycle ever 12 hours during the day to show 180 games per 30 minutes. I actually disagree with you and i like the idea. It needs improvement for sure but this is a great start for steam. They can advertise a ton of games this way, and even games that rarely get advertisement will show up, so developers and games aren't fighting for space to be features on steam main page. Great job steam i'm totally impressed with the new Steam Labs

@Chairo you're right, steam needs to find a way to match customers up with products they want. But I don't think watching a 30min video a day is the right way to go about it.

Six seconds is too short a time to focus with four simultaneous windows running. I gave up after a minute as it's simply flashing images and noise - not something attractive to watch, especially for any length of time.

Would be better being a single window with the store page game banner (rather than the text only banner) being overlaid in the corner or to the side to increase recognition. The clips should also be say 15 seconds long.

In it's current form, the automatic show has no use to me. I like the concept, but to be interested in the conted, the clips should be longer and the complete show should be shorter, maybe 10 minutes long.
If the automatic show could be combined with the Interactive Recommender, it could be a even better addition.

I would say 1 minute would be a good look and go time. 3 minutes should be the absolute max.

When watching the clips with 4 windows, I don't really know which I should focus on.
Then I lost my attention at the third or fourth clip.

Waaay too much, waaay too fast, waaay too frenetic. Feels like you're trying to force feed me through my eyeballs. 5 minutes, tops. 2 clips at once, tops. 10 secs per game, minimum.

Trying to do a voice over at the speed you have it now would be a goofy thing but I want you to go ahead and try that because I want to see it.

I watched the whole 30 mins and now got a headache. I need about a second to look at the bottom left and read the game title. Then getting overwhelmed by too much information. Four concurrent videos are too much for humans to process and moving objects out of the eye focus just leads to headache.

In general the idea is nice, but first the show should present the title of the game midscreen for 1-2 seconds. Afterwards present us at maximum 2 video screens. The title can be kept bottom left while the clip(s) is/are running to remember it.

But if you see that many new games will be released on steam, i think that 30 minutes will be long but also necessary to give every game the same chance. If you short the time, it would be much more faster, because every video had to be short too!
Also...you don´t have to watch the full lengh of it if you don´t like this method. you can always use the ol´traditional way to search and read the games on your own

Worked fine for me, it's the right idea. I'm just gonna watch in the need of new game
