Please consider Placement Optimization of +Categories
Hello,

I've been trying out the new Store Navigation Toolbar for few months now. I've noticed that the Middle choice of +Categories Dropdown always gets in the way of my browsing experience Auto-Opening Half page full of categories on the most standard 1080p Monitor so that I "have to" at all times use my mouse more than needed to move "Out" first out of Categories dropdown for it to close after few seconds and Re-Move mouse back to the point of interest since dropdown is No Longer occupying most of visible space.

I must say, this is very very annoying to the point of I sometimes Adblock the whole bar either via CSS or uBlock so that I can use my time more Productively instead of having to Wait for every time that +Categories get in the way I use my Browser toolbar navigation and get back into page. I turn off the Block when I need the +Categories back.

Problem seems to be Valve "Not" doing a Mouse HEATMAP Analysis on the Placement of the +Categories being in the Middle of everything and occupying Half of Screen at 1080p display which mayn't be a problem for higher resolutions but is a problem for majority of users at https://steamhost.cn/hwsurvey/.

For anyone who care to read, starting with Valve, here are some link on the matter and "Optimization" of how to do this properly;

* https://www.crazyegg.com/blog/mouse-heatmap/

* https://www.plerdy.com/blog/11-tasks-website-heatmap/

* https://mouseflow.com/

* https://www.crazyegg.com/snapshots

* https://www.clicktale.com/solutions/features/heatmaps/

as few Services that does this kind of Analysis which Valve can Develop a program of their own to understand why it's important. If Valve to use such Heatmap on any Steam Store Page for a game, they could have easily seen that mouse Travels mostly on the MIDDLE section of the page as an unconscious behavior as it's equidistant to all corners.

So +Categories occupying the Most Used Space of the Page is not a desired thing to do as in the Cumulative sense, you causing Miles and Miles of Mouse travels more than needed considering the Millions of users using the Steam Store daily. This maybe a minor or a negligible annoyance to most players but players having Hand Problems (RSI similar) like me are not happy with it at all.

What I'd like to ask for Valve to consider +Categories to be Left-Most on the current Layout so that it would be away from Mouse Heatmap to get accidental hovers for auto-opening and occupying the Monitor. It can also open on hover to the Left EMPTY space that's not used on any 1080p Common Display which would be more helpful.

If these are out of options, at least make a significant Delay on its https://www.w3schools.com/jsref/event_onmouseover.asp like 2-3 seconds instead of even not a second to auto-show, so that only "Interested" customers will open it knowingly instead of page auto-shows itself in an annoying manner. It can even be "Click to Dropdown" with a little bit of Javascript.

Dear Valve,

I know this doesn't mean much to you but players like me have "Limited Time" with our mouses to use it daily with regular breaks so that our hand problems never show up again. We use programs like https://github.com/rcaelers/workrave to not get hand problems ever again. So that totally unnecessary mouse travels is a hindrance to me and others like me while browsing Steam.

So a small "Optimization" on the Placement of +Categories can help more than you can imagine as if you had known these before, I'm sure you already would have done this analysis and took precautions already.

Thanks for your time and readers.
