We'll give some thought to this. Instead of editting the map, I could just teleport the giant out of the trouble spot, but it may have some advantages to force the giant into one path..

1. There's no voting for teamscramble because if it passes it will 1) reset all the scores 2) reset the round 3) reset the map time. Just a few downsides that come with the built-in teamscramble vote. I thought scrambling teams right after the round makes the most sense instead of waiting for the next round or two to complete. So we get fairer teams faster.. We've tried to introduce team scramble triggers to make voting unnecessary. If the tank ends with a ton of health damage or is destroyed too quickly it will trigger a scramble.

2. On engineer buffs: The only buff I think RED engie needs is something that deals with the giant. Like the giant having reduced damage against buildings. Otherwise I don't think RED engies need any buffs against regular players.

I don't see a need for a sentrybuster to bust up sentries. There's a classlimit of two engies and human BLU players can deal with sentries. I'm worried about RED engineers being able to set up and keep a sentry alive when the giant comes around. They are the most important defense I think against giants, coupled with the pyro. Maybe we can find other uses for the sentrybuster.

I think having the sentrybuster come out when the bomb is dropped (giant dead) could be a promising idea. In that case, the sentry is no longer as necessary because the giant is dead. Usually RED has got the bomb on lockdown and the time runs out. Many people have asked about this so I'll try and get banshee to comment.

Thanks for pointing that out. I think that's useful as a clientside mod, but not pratical for the server. Once the server sends the models, we can't have clients update them later if NeoDement decides to do another update. I think the filesize is prohibitive; it says the whole package is 70 MB. Tons of downloads turns off new players to the mod. And I was looking through the changelog and didn't see anything about disguised BLU spies looking RED (to the BLU team). The list of fixes is impressive but it's mostly just cosmetic. Our best hope is that Vavle puts this content into the game.

It randomizes about 9 different giant robot templates. I'll make a discussion post tomorrow with all giants and their stats so everyone can see them and we can discuss how to balance them.

The amount of tanks that spawn depends on the length of the track for the current stage. Last night, we capped the number of tanks to 2 so the round won't drag out. We probably need to change the checkpoint health to address this.

The giant spawns after half of the tanks are destroyed. If there's another tank, it spawns after the bomb is returned or the clock expires.

RED or BLUE can have 12-13 players max. The game picks the top 5 players on BLU to become the giant.
