So, I officially submit my Mini Utility Wessel (MUW) for your review.

It is a Mini Utility Wessel (MUW). It has a grinder with it's own storage container and connector. It has a welder with it's own storage container and connector. It has a Drill that is hooked into the storage container on the left and is accessible from the left connector. It has a Survival Kit. It has an Oxygen Generator that is tied into the cockpit and Survival Kit. It has a retractable Landing gear for acquiring objects in space or attaching to ships or bases. It has a system for removing unwanted Ore. It has a large Nuclear reactor that powers 36+/- Ion thrusters, 6 in each direction. It has 2 Gyro's, 1 Beacon, 1 Ore Detector, 1 cockpit, 4 spot lights facing front, 2 facing back... it has Kush leather seats with hand stitching from Bulgaria.

It's not the most efficient MUW in the galaxy nor is it the most efficient MUW it could be, with a different set of parameters where the length was increased to 14 (14x10x10).... much more efficiency and a better design can be achieved, however, it's still very functional and dexterous considering the 10x10x10 parameters.

Here is a ship from me.

Its main purpuse it to delivery small ammounts of goods in space to small stations or ships.
With the large LCD screens on it and the different attached lights its also good to help big ships to navigate through small spaces.
If multiple ships of thet kind dock to a big ship they are even able to push it arround, to get it into position for docking on a station.

Hey, just to clarify since I wrote this in the thread but never made it more clear in the OP but these are meant to be spaceborne (hence "spaceship"). It's a dope ship regardless but the planetary capabilities won't be factored in to the judging.

Here my heavy mule, It may not be the smallest ship, but therefore it has everything I could think of.

This is my ship, it's primarily used to tow but it has a few small cargo containers making it useful for light cargo missions. Use the remote control when placing the tow clamps, and keep the clamps extended when towing to ensure that what you are towing is outside the burn radius of the large thrusters. Have fun.

The objective of this design is to start a game on a 1-1-1-1 inventory vanilla server or one of the standard servers operated by Keen with the standard Earth-like drop pod and get a permanent base established on an asteroid in space in the minimum amount of time in a single launch. The micro-base established on a 1-1-1-1 server is shown in one of the pictures and includes the survival kit from the drop pod.

This is a ship which is relatively easy to maneuver and can be used to make multiple trips to and from the Earth-like planet after the asteroid base has been established and bring up additional materials for expansion. I have been able to establish an asteroid base within 60 minutes, but even with difficulties in finding ice for fuel it should not take much longer than that. All that is required on the planet's surface is the construction of an energy source (wind turbine) and a basic assembler (for the battery components).

It is not necessary to construct a basic refinery since the "ship" has only two thrusters, (8 metal grid from the drop pod) but is still relatively easy to pilot in gravity or in space. It was purposefully limited to 2 thrusters so the time to launch from the start of the game is minimized by using only the metal grid in the drop pod, avoiding a search for cobalt (not extracted form stone) and avoiding the construction of a basic refinery to further shorten the time to orbit. All of the required resources except ice for fuel can be obtained from stone and refined in the survival kit.

On servers with frontier economy mod it will permit the sale of very low cost ships to newcomers who can then quickly leave the planet and build in space. There is also a much smaller version with a reactor, no solar panels and no batteries that can be sold for less in frontier economy but would extend time to space in a vanilla game with earth drop pod since it requires reactor components and uranium.

The design includes a solar panel for charging the batteries, but because small batteries start with such minimal charge (5%), a large small grid battery was constructed for temporary use and the small batteries placed in "recharge" mode for 10 minutes. The bigger battery is destroyed since it is not needed for normal operating use.

The ship model is NLC1001b, Nano Launch Chair vehicle. NLC1001 has the same function but has a slightly different layout. However the solar panel is larger than I had thought and so it had to be moved to fit the required dimensions.

Hello all, this is the first time I have submitted a ship to any of these contests and hope my entry is worthy.

My entry is MINI JIM, a small utility welder designed from the contnuing line of JIM welders from TNG (True North Gaming).

Mini is a cut down version of Slim Jim Mk2 with less cargo space to meet the contest limits. The Jim the welder line goes back over 4 years tot he original version in the old pre-oxygen days.

Mini Jim's features include:

-Two cameras. Forward and aft to see better in first person view when required.
-A remote control block and antenna so it can be operated remote if required.
-Enough power to thrust empty in 2 directions at the same time.
-A HUD with several controls for easy operation including adjusting antenna range, gyro strength, welder and
connector to name a few.
-A connector for easy cargo reload or battery charging.
-One small reactor and 3 small batteries for enough power to do the job.
-An O2 generator for long jobs.
-Dual spotlights forward and aft to light up the travel path and work area.

I have just published Jim and hope to add him to our TNG COLLECTION soon:

See you all around the universe and remember...........
If you plan to exit the vehicle-TURN OFF THE WELDER FIRST!!!!

Hello, this pesky pest is the Torch Bug, other then just using the examples of a tug or small cargo ship WDI decided to tackle another small problem of lighting. Ever find your self having to rotate a build to the sun so your able to see the bigger picture? Equipped with two main function spotlights on rotors to illuminate a good area. The 3rd spot light has a distinct green to let you know where she is do to lack of a antenna which doubles as a safety light for any one that happens to have Broadcasting off. This is also what gives it her name. With a unique sleek compact look she handles well enough for a utility ship if your looking for fighter mobility she will not hit that check box.

Hello there fellow engineers!

I would like to submit my newest creation for your consideration.

[ASE] MINI MOUSE

Think of this ship as of enhanced space suit for easy base management.

Features:
- (!) automatic player detection, making MINI MOUSE ready for action
- (!) proximity alert (while approaching damaged ships/debris you want to move)
- (!) automatic warning lights/screens with KEEP OUT sign that set on while transporting other grid using "grappling gears". Made for safe transportation in heavily crowded bases. ;)
- (!) spotlight for darker moments
- (!) merge block for custom modules (see screenshot with Hydrogen Fuel Module)
- (!) moving objects of all sizes
- and more!

All fit in a compact, easy to use, responsive "enhanced space suit"!

Even though it was built exclusively for the Contest 56, our team actually uses it in every day Space Base management (see screenshots).

The size DQs seemed to be a result of forgetting a camera was a block and then exceeding that dimension because it would appear to be flat. I was getting confused myself about some of the ships being over the limit in SE toolbox but seemingly not ingame.
