This thread is for submitting contest ideas, either about ships we could build or improvements to the contests themselves. I figured it would be good to have them collected so we can have an easy to use list of possible ideas for the future.

Anything is allowed, though it might be a good idea to elaborate on it a little so we get a general idea of what you are suggesting instead of just saying, for instance, 'remake vanilla blue ship.'

Well, if this was chosen as a contest ship, I don't think I could participate. I've never had any luck with projectors or auto-building.

Though I do think I'll pin a contest idea thread, now that you meantion it. Don't worry about moving it there though unless you really want to.

Small comparing to block limit, but that's all i have by now.
I spent near hour trying to mount on rotors armoured cover for passengers seat, but i didnt find out how to properly fit rotor parts :/

For this contest, vanilla worked well. For large ship contests though with the necessity to have furniture in your ship or else have it plain modded is the only real way to go unless you want to have ugly small ship furniture. Also while I can live without ramps/panels, they open up a whole new realm of possibilities. Besides that, for armed ships it's almost a necessity to have weapon mods for large ships IMO simply because the launcher by itself is not enough variety for fixed weaponry.

So in other words, I'm happy with vanilla contests, but only if what is necessary for the ship is not going to be extremely difficult/super plain without mods.
