2017 Colonization Multi Contest Mods

I have noticed with the new Dev build, that SE uses the GPU a lot more, and the poly count doesn't seem to impact performance as much, one of my stations went from 3 mil poly to 26 mil poly count, had no issues running a 1.0 sim speed and 60 fps.

Once I added four large stations and two large ships to one area, at that point my sim speed was 0.5 to 0.65 and fps was 15 to 26. But we're talking about 80,000 mil poly count and 50,000 blocks. Hopefully as optimization and multiplayer mode gets better we might eventually end up with full size ships, stations, and bases, all on one server.

I think we need to build a spider hotel, or sabroid trap or way to trap/collect sabroids and either harvest them or humanely relocate them (down a mine shaft).

Something In order to protect a grounded colony ship, but we can't use turrets, so maze or traps and pitfalls, etc.

Edit- what about a combat ship that does not use any explosives, guns or rockets, but only the ingenuity of the designer to add devastating weapons, through arms, landing gears,drills, grinders,blades, and wedges.

So in other words you want us to build a giant tentacly graboid ship that wraps around or flails the opposing vessel. And then devours it with a giant articulating grinder mouth.

So basically a space shark or space kraken !

Now we need a follow up deathtrap dungeon, prison, or maze. To go along with the evil overlord moon base, gotta dump those uncooperative multiplayer space engineers somewhere "they can't possibly escape from".

You know... after they blew up the moon base and stuff... I don't remember just leaving the self destuct code lying around, I'm sure I left it in a secret locked room.

2017 Colonization Multi Contest Mods

I would only suggest minimizing the addition of any mods that add new blocks, and try to stick with mods that fix or alter existing blocks in the game, or follow a technological genre or theme.

Don't include multiple mods that basically do the same thing, like one decorative mod instead of several.

When I paste blueprints in vanilla at a later time, I don't mind replacing a block or two but I don't like it when the ship literally falls apart due to entirely missing sections of modded blocks.
